Our 25mm Blockout Honeycomb Blinds, also known as Cellular Blinds, combine excellent light control with a compact, modern design and enhanced thermal insulation.
The 25mm cellular construction forms a series of enclosed air pockets inside the blind. These pockets create an additional insulating barrier between the window and your room, helping reduce heat transfer through the glass and improve year-round indoor comfort. Your 25mm Blockout Honeycomb Blind is custom made to your selected measurements, colour and control configuration.
Our standard production timeframe is approximately 10–15 business days before dispatch. Once your blind has been completed and quality checked, it will be carefully packaged and dispatched to your nominated delivery address.
Delivery time after dispatch will depend on your location and courier network. Tracking details will be provided once your order is on its way.

Accurate measurements are essential because your Honeycomb Blind will be manufactured specifically for your window.
Always measure in millimetres using a metal tape measure, and measure each window individually—even windows that appear identical can vary slightly. Competitor honeycomb guides also recommend checking multiple points rather than assuming the window opening is perfectly square.
For a Recess Fit, first make sure there is sufficient clear depth for the headrail and check for handles, locks or other obstructions. Measure the internal width at the top, middle and bottom, then record the smallest width. Measure the drop at the left, centre and right, then record the smallest drop. Enter the exact measurements requested by our ordering system and do not make your own clearance deductions unless specifically instructed.
For a Face Fit, measure the width and drop of the area you would like the blind to cover. Allowing the blind to overlap the window opening can help minimise light entering around the edges. We recommends additional coverage around face-fit blockout honeycombs specifically to reduce side light seepage.

Installing your 25mm Honeycomb Blind is designed to be a straightforward DIY project.
Before starting, unpack the blind carefully and confirm the fitting type shown on your order. You will generally need a pencil, tape measure, suitable drill or screwdriver, step ladder and the appropriate fixings for your mounting surface.
For a Recess Fit, position the mounting brackets evenly inside the top of the window recess. For a Face Fit, position the brackets above or around the window at the locations used when measuring.
Make sure all brackets are level and securely fixed. Lift the honeycomb blind headrail into position, engage it with the brackets and gently click it securely into place. Test the blind by raising and lowering it several times and check that it operates smoothly and sits level. Competitor installation guides use the same bracket-and-click headrail approach for cellular blinds.
Important: The supplied cord safety device must be correctly installed. Australian mandatory safety standards require loose blind cords to be secured and kept out of children's reach. Where a cleat is used, it must be installed at least 1,600mm above floor level, and the blind must be installed so a loose cord cannot form a loop 220mm or longer below that height. Always follow the supplied safety instructions.

For everyday care, lightly remove surface dust using a feather duster, soft cloth or a vacuum with a soft brush attachment. Avoid soaking the fabric, aggressive rubbing, harsh chemicals or machine washing. Louvolite identifies Astral as neither machine washable nor hand washable and does not classify it as moisture-resistant fabric.

Your Blockout Honeycomb Blind is covered against manufacturing faults in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, subject to our warranty terms.
Because every blind is custom manufactured to the measurements, colour, fitting type and control options selected when ordering, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind, incorrect customer measurements or incorrect selections.
Please double-check your width, drop, fitting type, colour and control side before submitting your order. We strongly recommend ordering a free fabric sample before purchasing if colour matching is important.
